Narrative - Creating Film Noir in Photoshop

Me and Aaron have now done all the editing in Photoshop. This has taken longer than we had planned as some images were slightly more complicated. For each image we had to go through each of the following steps:

Step 1: Import the image into Photoshop.

Step 2: Duplicate the layer.

Step 3: Reduce the saturation to -100% to make it greyscale

Step 4: Use selective colour to increase the contrast of the black and white

Step 5: Use the magic wand tool and erase the top greyscale layer to reveal the areas of colour.

Each picture takes roughly about 10-15 minuets. We have now completed all the images and have passed them on to Sophie, Neil and Kamal who will have just over a week to import them into premier and then add the sounds.
